November Pics

Finally!!! My Goal is to get back on track with up loading pics on this blog!! So Allison has been keeping us on our toes and keeping us entertained. She's at a such a fun age. She's 14 months now. She says Grand-Dad, She know's that when she see's a border collie in a book or see's my parent's dog Lady that we "shh" her ( she barks loud! And likes to heard Allison if she doesn't move fast enough for her) Allison is able to sign All done and please, she of course says all done and please. She's working on Katelynn and Kellie currently they're just "K" She loves to imitate you. She makes a this adorable look and flirts with strangers by tilting her head to the side and smiling. it's hard not to smile at her with that adorable grin :) She has 5 teeth on the bottom 4 on the top, her hair is getting blonder as she's getting older. Allison can point to her hair, eyes, nose, mouth, belly, toes, she likes to dance, she loves her shoes and likes to say shoes. Her hair has gotten very long recently and is able to go inot piggy tails :)

We discovered toilet paper, in this pic she was imitating me blowing my nose she's really funny to watch.

This is from Thanksgiving, Allison did really well going to 2 different dinners!

Allison runs all through the house! She loves to pull things out of cabinets and drawers, she'll help me unload the dishwasher, she likes to play with kitchen towels, get into the bathroom drawers, she open them and say" Oh Wow!"

We got our tree up the day after thanksgiving and Allison helped Daddy put the star on. Here she is hitting him with it.

And now her favorite thing to do with Grandad is fly! When she gets to their house she yells for him and puts her arms out ready to go after her makes the speacial flying noise!

Ok I think I've got you up to date with miss Allison, now to work on December before this month passes me by!

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween started with lunch at Big Papa and GG's on Wednesday with cousin Dillon. Cousins Brian, Brooke, Great Aunt Carol and Cathy all got to see Allison dressed up.

Dillon was flapping Allison's wings to see if she'd fly away :)

We celebrated trick or treating Friday night since I worked Saturday and went around to the family. Allison got lots of treats, and Daddy got some treats as well!

Allison did really well, I can't wait until next year when she'll be in to it a little more!

Swing set fun!

Last Wednesday evening we had dinner at Mam-maw and Grandad's before my volleyball game. But before we had dinner we got some play time in outside since the weather was so nice! Allison loved it. So here are some cute pics of us playing outside!

Granny and Papa even came over for dinner!

Allison LOVES Spaghetti!!

So a week ago I made spaghetti and was hoping that Allison would like it this time around. Well turned out that she LOVES it!

And she loved getting it into her hair! Hehe

She started getting tired that's why her eyes are covered with sauce, and it was time for a bath, the wash cloth was stained red from the sauce.

But then we got to use our hello kitty towel from uncle Jason aunt Sandy and Katelynn. She loves it!! It was a fun night!!

Allison turns 1

I've been in denial that this post was next... I just can't get over how fast this first year has flown by! I remember Allison's birth as if it were yesterday all the butterflies and anticipation of our new arrival. The LABOR all NIGHT and have I mentioned it was all back labor?? Well after my favorite person in the whole world at the time (anesthesiologist) arrived and I was numb..I was able to catch a few zzzz's. Then before we knew it...it was baby time! I had a very strong feeling that we were having a girl my whole pregnancy. I made sure that Jeff was the one who told me the baby's sex. At 1:06 pm I heard her scream and he said "it's a girl!" and I said "really?!" I was on cloud nine and exhausted but full of excitement and sooo in love with how beautiful she was. Jeff said "I looked twice to make sure." and I laughed at him. He was tearful while talking to one of my best friend's Cara. We had our hour alone with her that flew by then we let the family come in after they went out for lunch.
I vividly remember him talking to our sister-in-law Sandy and not telling her what we had until he talked to his brother who he couldn't get a hold of. And I said "You can't make her wait that's just wrong!" Allison came out smacking her lips like I do in my sleep(So I'm told) and was told by many She has Natalie's lips and chin. We were amazed when she came out with strawberry blond hair. We loved and still do just love to watch her sleep. She's just perfect in our eyes.

Allison has taught us a lot this year, how to be patient, cleaning can wait, to take your time, plan ahead, our whole world revavls around her. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

We've adjusted to how we get things done with a split level house. But our house isn't too terribly dirty!

We don't take the small things for granted and take her in as much as we can with every new and exciting thing that she does or even says now these days.

I was worried and frustrated for a while because Allison wouldn't roll over and hated tummy time. But I've learned that she'll do things when she's ready to do them and not to rush her.

Our biggest struggle but blessing has been my working weekends and Jeff working 10 hour days. We've managed to get our family time in and soak every last drop of the 3 of us when I'm off or when Jeff takes a few days off.

We've enjoyed watching Allison's little personality evolve. Allison is very curious and likes to test you. If you say "No" she'll act like she didn't hear you. She'll fake cry to get a response out of you. But she knows what she wants when she wants it (I don't know who this sounds like) She'll bring you a book and if you're tired of it and want to read another book but she STILL wants you to read the same book....you'll read the same book. No matter how many other books you try. Hehe.

Allison just cut her 8th tooth yesterday. She now has 4 on top and 4 on bottom.

She still loves to play pat-a-cake since the day she discovered putting her hands together.

Allison is a talker. She can say Daddy, Dada, Mommy, Dutchess, Baby, Good bye,(bye-chicka-bye) We're working on please she's close, she waves hello, goodbye, gives "high fives"blows kisses and loves to give kisses. She likes to go between Jeff and I and just give them out! I'll take as many kisses as I can get.

Allison still loves her baths! She could play all night in it if we'd let her!
Allison is totally a Daddy's girl! If he leaves she needs to see him! ie: tonight while he was mowing the lawn I had to place her in front of the window so she could see that he didn't leave again.

Allison is an excelent traveler! We've been up to Wisconsin twice! And hope to make a few more trips this next year! Passengers on our flights are always amazed at how great she is and help us keep her entertained. There are still good people in the world. :)

We've child proofed our house and now it's Allison friendly. She's a quiet, layed back baby but will show you what she wants and let you hear her when she wants to be heard.

I'm so glad and blessed that God has chosen Jeff and I to take care of her little soul. We love her so much and don't know what we'd be doing without her. She completes us and makes us so happy. We're so proud of who she is and when she begins a new stepping stone our heart just gets bigger and bigger.

Allison has taken a few steps which started last month Sept 23. and still just cruses around furniture, crawls she can crawl up the stairs without any problems. She hasn't wanted to try going down yet. She eats strictly table food and drinks from a sippy cup well.

At Allison's doctor visit yesterday we got a clean bill of health. She weighed 23lbs 1 oz (85%) 28inches (45%) and 45 cm (97%) I believe these measurements are correct I'll double check tomorrow. We don't have to be seen until 18 months. We can start peanut butter if no reaction to the "poor man's test" and start fish products. And since she's having such a hard time digesting whole milk we're going to decrease her to 1% for now.

I think that's everything! Good night!
