I've been inspired...

I was inspired over the weekend...we were discussing at work about the things we do to keep tradition and memories in our family, a dear friend of mine was telling us what she does for her kids everynight. She has a leather bound journal for each child and writes in it everyday what they did. Even when on vacation, she'll jot stuff down and when she gets home she'll write in it. Once in a while their Dad will also write in it. And when the children are older and out of the house they'll get their journals as be able to look back at what they did, funny stories, words of wisdom, etc.



It's sort of like a mini scrapbook if you will. She says it's her therapy and I could see why. So, I'm going to start this...I know I love looking back at old pictures and paintings I did for my Mom and Dad, hearing stories that tak you back to when you were a kid. I'm sure Allison and our other children will look back and enjoy this as well.



So hopefully I've helped inspire someone else to pass along memories. Now tomorrow I'm off to find a jounal, my notes are on my nightstand waiting to be put in a journal!

6 months old

Our sweet Allison is already 6 months old. She's still amazing us everyday.
We went to the see Dr.W today and checked out great! She measured 19.8lbs (95%) 26inches (75%), and her noggin was 441/2 (95%)
Allison has been our little roller lately...she rolls from belly to back well, we're still working on back to belly she'll roll to her side once in a while..she would just rather play with her toes. She loves to sit.. she's pretty good at it too. She'll stand up if you help her by holding her hands and pulling up, her stout little legs are mighty muscular!

She loves her Baby Einstein DVD's...especially on Daddy's big T.V.!

She does really well getting out and about, everyone always makes comments about how cute her chubby cheeks are!

Allison loves to eat..and watch you eat. She also loves to get into anything she can get her hands on and into her mouth.

She loves to be read to and has her favorites..

She also loves to play peek-a-boo! Especially when she has a dress on!

She can move objects from one hand to the other, she'll get upset if you take her current toy away from her a times, or if you don't help her get to where she wants to go. She can clap her hands...she loves Mommy's water bottles more than anything..and loves to get your drinks and hit them while you take a drink, so you have to be sneaky!

Well I think that about sums it up!

The Sun came out to play!!

Yesterday while Jeff was mowing the lawn, Allison and I got outside to take in some fresh air and take some pictures. Hopefully we get to keep this nicer weather for a while.

Easter

Easter was wonderful this year, I got Easter off.. So we went to church with Mam-maw, Grandad, and Aunt Kellie Then we headed off to Granny and Papa's for our annual Easter lunch..

Allison got 3 Easter baskets here!! With lots of outfits, candy for Mommy and Daddy and toys!

She loved her dancing bunny!

Allison figured out soon that she could eat her dress...

Then we headed off to Grammy and Grandpa's to see GG and Big Papa, Aunt Carol and Addie, I then realized I left my camera at Granny and Papa's house.

Also Thank you , Uncle Jason, Aunt Sandy and Katelynn for my Easter presents, Mommy forgot to get a picture. I love my swimsuit, cover up and book!

Smiles..bottles...& toes!!

Allison just keeps growing and amazing us...we continue to count our blessings everyday. Here's a little glimpse to what she's been doing. We like looking at things from a different view....

She's always full of smiles...

She started learning to sit up, and she does pretty good I might add...

She likes to take Mommy's water bottle away from her after shes done with it..

And play with her toes...

and look for her toes...

And play with her toes some more!!!

Sorry about the combo postings.. time seems to be slipping away from me lately..

Here's Payton and Allison last Friday night... We still practicing on sitting... Look at those eyes..and cheeks!Getting ready for some serious eating, we love oatmeal, so far she's eaten, green beans, peas, squash, peaches, applesauce, and carrots!

And as soon as we ate our food we feel asleep last Tuesday night while we had company over.
