10 months old

Our tiny angel is growning up sooo fast. It's hard to believe that she's already 10 months old. We are having a blast with our little "tootsie" as Daddy calls her. As you can see Allison is getting into EVERYTHING and is curious as ever. Everything must be explored. However she is shy. When approached by a new person or place, she sits back for a while then lets everyone see how vocal she can be!

Allison is much too old to eat baby food. She will swat the spoon out of the way and go for the finger food. She feeds herself very well, we're still working on the sippy cup. Allison has 6 teeth and has 2 more on top and bottom that have been giving her grief for about 3 weeks now but have not broken through yet. She's a teething machine!

Allison loves Duchess! She jumps up from a nap a looks for her, or when she sees her she crawls as fast as she can to get to her. We were hesitant at first if you know our cat we've had several nick-names for in the past, but she's adapted very well to our little bundle of joy. She says her name all day. Also added to her vocabulary is "shoes" "gus" and she loves to look at her cousin Katelynn! We look all the time at pictures and work on saying her name. Allison loves kids and loves to try to keep up with them now that's really mobile. Currently she can pull up to her knees and push her toys soon she'll be pulling up all the way!

You reprogram the telemetry monitors and now have Mario scrambling over the QRS complexes and hopping over the P waves for extra credit
Your patient bradys down from a steady sinus tach to the 30's, and you run up the hallway yelling, "oh, hell no you are not making me fill out all that paperwork this late in the shift!"
Your coworker trips and falls running to the same code, and all you can think is, "great, I'll end up with 2 of her pts when she goes to the ER."
You are hauling your now dead pt to the morgue, your coworker's went to the ER, leaving 2 nurses on the floor with 28 patients, and you hear another code go off for your floor, and you jump out of the elevator and run...leaving the corpse in the elevator as a present for the next person who pushes the button....
You have a conversation with the admin rep that sounds like this...."I lost my patient...no, I mean really lost them....no, they were dead, they can't find their way back to the unit...."
When you hear a scream, you know someone found your deceased patient.

9 months!!

It's hard to believe our little baby is already 9 months old, which means she'll be a year old before I know it!! I know I say this every time but she's such a blessing to have, Jeff and I were talking the other night discussing how this is so far our favorite age, she's entertaining, moving, babbling and really showing her personality.

Our stats for 9 months are as follows:

weight: 21 lbs 10 oz (90%) length: 27 3\4 inches(50%) head circumference:45.75cm (90%)

Allison now knows when she wants something by reaching really heard with her hand and stretching to the point where she has to lift her head to make sure you're understanding that she wants you to get her that item she can't reach, it's hilarious!

When Allison wakes up she nicely says Dada, Daddy but when we don't jump she wails out screaming Mama!!



Allison has 6 teeth!! 4 on top and 2 on bottom and she GRINDS her TEETH!! It's the most annoying thing ever!!

Allison is attempting to pull on the couch, her jumperoo, her crib.



Loves tummy time now, and rolls all over the place

She's scooting backwards is able to push up to the crawling position



Wants to try everything that gos into your mouth! And is a great eater!!
Loves bath time, the computer, the phone, the camera, the remote control.

Is really good at playing by herself.

She gets to your feet and says "ickle!"



Says ya, na (which is no with a shacking head from side to side), pa, baba for bottle, Cat, Kitty Cat, Duchess,
Loves to play and pet our cat.

She really does try to repeat you with her babbling and it sounds very similar

Allison is also a pro at giving kisses and high fives.

We're looking forward to our trip in a few weeks to Wisconsin to see how Katelynn and her interact. If she's not crawling by then we think she will be just to keep up with Katelynn.

Breaking News!!

Allison is rocking on all fours!! It's her own special version. She starts off sitting, you see Allison hates to be on her belly and is able to roll on to her back but refuses. So she starts off sitting her legs are then brought in ( like the butterfly stretch, when the bottom of your feet are touching each other and your knees are out to the side) then she walks her arms out and knees are still out to the side but we are ROCKING!!!

Also in news Allison cut her 2 top teeth at the same time today, she had been abnormally cranky and not sleeping as well the past two nights, well it makes sense now poor girl. Daddy didn't believe me when I said that I saw 2 pearly white and put his finger in her mouth, oouch! Did he get bit!! I'm just glad I'm done nursing! hehe.

Last Thursday Allison had her first trip to the pool!! We met up with Aunt Cara, BFF Raegan, Aunt Lindsey,and Colby and Carson!!


Allison loves her new swimming hat.

We thought the girls would absolutely love the pool since they love bath time! However, It was very cold and Allison didn't get a good morning nap in, so they girls weren't all about it like we thought they might be.

We got the girls in the wave pool anyway, the motion of the ocean ok, wave pool, helped put Allison to sleep. So it was now nap time.

After a 45 min nap, it was then time to eat some lunch!! We discovered that Allison and Raegan love corndog bread and pretzels!

Then we watched the boys play on the swim playground. The girls loved watching all the kids play and run around.

I love this pic, look at how skinny Raegan's legs are compared to Allison's! Hehe, we always joke about how light weight Raegan is compared to Allison.

As you can see Allison and Raegan love hanging out together already!

We're planning on many more pool outings

We dropped by the Mullinax household and got to see Grace,Isabelle,Sam, and Piper! (miss Sophia was napping)

They always like to make sure Allison gets to play dress up too.

She Squeals with delight as they all bring a "Soft" toy for her to play with. They love to tickle her and give her hugs and kisses. They're all so sweet and loving with her. I love watching her interact with all of them. She just loves her cousins!

Now we just need to figure out a way to get cousin Katelynn down her every week to play with....
